Michael Chen Calgary, Canada - Video Calibration Expert To Western Canada Michael Chen has been a professional calibrator since the mid 1990’s as well as a Traffic Engineer by education for 22 years. He currently works with the THX Corporation as an instructor and teaches their Professional Video Systems Calibration courses at locations around the world. He is also one of the primary creators of that program. In addition to his work with THX, Michael also continues to serve as an Imaging Science Foundation instructor and currently is a consultant with Spectracal which is the leading software company in the display calibration industry. More commonly known as Michael TLV on the internet, he has been freely helping enthusiasts on line at many calibration forums since 1997. Today, circa 2011, I’ve been a THX Video Instructor for four years and an ISF Instructor for seven years. I played a major role in the creation of the THX Video Systems Calibration program examining where existing calibration education opportunities were weak and implementing the solutions into the THX program at the offset. We've prided ourselves on being at the forefront of a new way to calibrate displays. An approach vastly different than the tradtional way it is done and taught often times to limited success. |
